William Morris double oven glove

William Morris double oven glove

A William Morris double oven glove with a difference!

William Morris (1834 - 1896) was an English textile designer, poet, novelist & translator who played a significant role in propagating the early socialist movement in Britain. With this double oven glove we have recreated one of Morris's classic designs "The Strawberry Thief" with a quotation to illustrate his radical ideas.

Double oven glove, half Panama unbleached cotton (heavy weight, textured finish) with piped edging. Natural terry towelling backing filled with the most up to date heat resistant filament. Measures approximately 90 x 21cm. Includes hanging loop. Machine wash at 40 degrees max.
