New Votes for Women Wanted double oven glove

This stunning design is from a 1909 poster advertising "Votes for Women", the official weekly newspaper of the Women's Social and Political Union until 1912. The poster was designed by Hilda Dallas, a WSPU member and a student at the Slade School of Art from 1910 to 1911. Make sure the next person picking up hot dishes in your house understands what women have had to go through.

Double oven glove, half Panama unbleached cotton (heavy weight, textured finish) with piped edging. Natural terry towelling backing filled with the most up to date heat resistant filament. Measures approximately 90 x 21cm. Includes hanging loop. Machine wash at 40 degrees max.
