Suffrage table mat collection
This set of six table mats comprises: a 1908 poster by Caroline Marsh Watts of The Bugler Girl representing the National Union of Women’s Suffrage Societies; a 1909 poster advertising “Votes for Women”, the official weekly newspaper of the Women’s Social and Political Union; a 1913 poster demonstrating the strength of the National Union of Women’s Suffrage Societies; a 1913 cover of the Suffragette Newspaper marking the death of Emily Davison at Epsom Racecourse; a 1911 design by Margaret Morris for the song sheet of the “The March of the Women”; and a propaganda poster designed by Duncan Grant for the Artists’ Suffrage League in 1909.
This gift comes in a smart presentation box with a description and image of each table mat on the rear.
Set of 6 table mats in a card presentation box. Mats are full colour printed melamine, heat resistant to 145 degrees centigrade as well as being scratch & stain resistant. Mats measure 230mm square & have a hardboard base and durable cork backing.
